The BRICS Digital Policies webinar is organized by the CyberBRICS project (www.cyberbrics.info). It brings together CyberBRICS Associate Scholars and Research Fellows to discuss relevant developments regarding digital policies in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries. The project analyses in particular the areas of cybersecurity, data protection, Internet access and digital infrastructures, and digitalisation of public administrations in the BRICS.
After the successful launching of the webinar in September, this second webinar will explore “Data Governance in the BRICS“. Moderated by FGV Professor Luca Belli, Head of CyberBRICS, the webinar will feature two guest speakers, Sizwe Snail, who is Information Commissioner of South Africa and CyberBRICS Board Member, and Claudio Lucena, Professor at Paraiba State University and CyberBRICS Associated Scholar, who will be joined by CyberBRICS Fellows Aaron Martin, Anya Orlova, Larissa Magalhães, Senka Hadzic, Smriti Parsheera and Wei Wang.
