The 17th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will take place between November 28th and December 2nd, 2022 in Ethiopia in a hybrid format. Members of the CyberBRICS Team will participate in 6 panels to debate this year’s theme: “Resilient Internet for a Shared Sustainable and Common Future”. The meeting programme is guided by five themes drawn from the Global Digital Compact in the UN Secretary-General’s Our Common Agenda report. “Internet Commons Forum: Internet as a Commons” 10:30-12:30 (UTC -3) will be moderated by Luca Belli and Senka Hadzic.

“DCPR Session: Platform responsibilities in times of conflict” 13:15 (UTC -3) will have Luca Belli and CyberBRICS Associated Scholar Yasmin Curzi as organizers and moderators, as well as our Visiting Professor Ian Brown as a speaker.

“DCNN: Internet Openness Formula: Interoperability + Device + Net” 09:05-10:35 (UTC -3) will have Luca Belli and Smriti Parsheera as organizers, as well as CTS-FGV Visiting Professor Angela Daly as a speaker.
“DC3: Community networks as human rights enablers” 10:50-12:20 (UTC -3) will have Senka Hadzic as onsite moderator.
“Designing an AI ethical framework in the Global South” 13:50-15:20 (UTC -3) will have Wayne Wei Wang e Smriti Parsheera as speakers.
