nombulelo Faith Lekota

Nombulelo Faith Lekota is a CyberBRICS researcher with a Master’s in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Johannesburg. Her research focuses on ICT Data Governance, Architecture, Cybersecurity frameworks, and best practice standards. With 20 years of experience in the IT industry, she has worked across various sectors such as Mining, Oil, Banking, Manufacturing, Utilities, Rail, and Aviation. She significantly contributed to the ICAO Africa Indian (AFI) region Planning and Implementation Regional Group (APIRG) project.

Nombulelo’s contributions to the field are significant and widely recognised. Her publication record and paper citations stand as a testament to her expertise. She has co-authored three papers that have been accepted in reputable conference proceedings. Her achievements were further validated when she was awarded a joint 1st place in the PhD colloquium at The 20th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security (ECCWS 2021), Chester, UK.
