Larissa Galdino

Larissa Galdino de Magalhães Santos is an expert in digital governance, GovTech, and responsible AI. She has worked with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations University, the Global Center for AI Governance, the Global Data Barometer, the Latin American Open Data Initiative, and the Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s Center for Technology and Society, where she led projects on digital transformation, open data, and AI governance. Since 2020, she has been a CyberBRICS fellow, a unique project dedicated to digital policies among the BRICS countries.

In 2021, she became a Getúlio Vargas Foundation Professional Fellow for Europe. Larissa is a Mila Responsible AI and Human Rights Fellow and was a member of the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program, promoted by Canada. She works pro bono on advocacy initiatives for the Open Data Charter for civil society. She is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Bremen, where she develops strategies to enhance GovTech ecosystems in European cities. With over 15 years of research experience and a PhD in Political Science, Larissa brings extensive knowledge to the intersection of technology, governance, and public policy.
